Google Search Console now lets you group your sites together with property sets
One the biggest problems with Google Search Console has been that all analytics data is displayed on a property by property basis. For site owners with multiple websites and apps that belong to the same site, this can make it very difficult. What makes this worse is that HTTP and HTTPS sites, WWW and non WWW sites all go as different individual properties. There was no way to monitor or even get a single snapshot of all properties in one go. Now Google has announced that you can now group together multiple properties within the Google Search Console, so you can get aggregate data in the Search Analytics report.
You can now create sets of multiple properties:
“Mobile app, mobile website, desktop website — how do you track their combined visibility in search? Until now, you’ve had to track all of these statistics separately. Search Console is introducing the concept of “property sets,” which let you combine multiple properties (both apps and sites) into a single group to monitor the overall clicks and impressions in search within a single report.”
The process is simple, first login to Google Search Console. Now click the “create a set” button on top right hand side of the screen. Give your set a name and select the properties to add. This single improvement will make life much easier for many webmasters who have to manage multiple properties of the same site.
